Late drama: Matthijs de Ligt

Tottenham saw their winning streak against Manchester United snapped on Saturday.

Spurs beat the Red Devils four times across all competitions last season, including the Europa League final, and also went into the lunchtime kick-off protecting a seven-game unbeaten run in this fixture.

Goals from Mathys Tel and Richarlison put Tottenham on course to beat Man United for a fifth time in a row, but there was late drama as Matthijs de Ligt earned the visitors a point with a towering header.

Bryan Mbeumo, the Premier League Player of the Month for October, broke the deadlock with a fine header and in doing so, netted Man Utd’s first league goal against Spurs in three meetings.
