Villa consider deadline day Sancho loan
Aston Villa are weighing up a potential move for Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho , who remains out of favour at Old Trafford .
The 25-year-old rejected an approach from Roma earlier in the window, while Juventus had also shown interest.
Sancho has spent the last year and a half on loan with Borussia Dortmund and Chelsea, though neither side opted to make his stay permanent.
Chelsea were required to pay United a £5m penalty after backing out of a purchase obligation for the England international.
Sancho originally joined United for £73m four years ago, but his last appearance came in the Community Shield in August 2024.
Any possible transfer for Sancho will be independent of United’s pursuit of Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez .
Sources at Old Trafford maintain that they will not bring in both Martinez and Royal Antwerp stopper Senne Lammens , with discussions ongoing about which option to pursue.
At present, there is still no definitive decision on which keeper - if either - will be added to strengthen United’s squad.
