The Red Devils have picked up just 31 points from as many games since the Portuguese gaffer replaced Erik ten Hag last November.

United ended last term in 15th place but have started poorly this season despite a mega-money spending spree.

They’ve won just one of their opening four matches and suffered a 3-0 derby defeat to Man City on Sunday.

And now, Paddy Power have played up the doubts surrounding Amorim’s future by creating a social media clip featuring ex-Prem boss Curbishley.

The former Birmingham and Brighton player managed Charlton between 1991 and 2006 before joining West Ham until 2008.

He is yet to take charge of a club since then, despite having a role as technical director at Fulham between 2013 and 2015.

But in the new Paddy Power video, Curbishley is hailed as the “manager who could save” United.

He says in the clip: “Management, I could still do a job. The game’s moved on but I haven’t. I am still as good as I ever was.

“I’ve got my tactics board, I will travel, you name the club, I’ll go there. League One, League Two, I’ll even consider the Scottish Premiership.

“All I’m asking for is for one club, one club, to give me a chance.”

However, the video takes a funny turn as Curbishley’s phone starts to ring.

It shows that United chief Sir Jim Ratcliffe is on the other end of the line.

But Curbishley declines to answer before stating “thank god for that” as the phone rings out.

He then asked his wife for a “new number”, before throwing his mobile phone in the bin.

Fans were certainly ticked by the video, with one saying: “Just one club, not ‘that’ club.”

Another declared: “Curbs nailed it.”

One noted: “Now that’s comedy.”

Another added: “This is getting out of hand.”
