The international break is almost over, and Arsenal can turn their attention to a key part of the season so far. The Gunners cannot look past the North London Derby this weekend, but Bayern Munich and Chelsea follow in the space of seven days.
It could be a defining moment for Mikel Arteta and his squad as they look to prove their mettle in the Premier League title race. The north London side lead the way in the division at the moment but slipped up against Sunderland in their last outing .
Arsenal are still contending with injury issues, with Gabriel Magalhaes' injury on Brazil duty perhaps the most notable of all heading into the Tottenham match. However, £250million of summer transfer business enhanced Arsenal's depth and left Arteta with little room for excuses.
The Spaniard will, nevertheless, hope he soon has all of his players available to him. Arteta has some significant assets to return.
Mirror Football takes a look at Arsenal's latest injury situation.
Arsenal's ever-present Premier League defender Gabriel Magalhaes could be out until January after limping off during Brazil's friendly . Gabriel suffered a thigh injury and could not complete Brazil's match against Senegal. The defender featured as his nation played at the Emirates but was forced off the field and is now expected to miss a minimum of four weeks.
With more assessments to come, he could yet be absent until early 2026, depending on the severity of the issue. The 27-year-old looks set to be ruled out against Tottenham , Bayern Munich and Chelsea .
Germany boss Julian Nagelsmann offered an update on Kai Havertz during the international break. Havertz had been expected to return this month after a knee injury but it has since emerged he suffered a setback.

The injured Arsenal star is apparently due back 'towards the end of the year'. “Kai had a minor relapse, but overall he’s doing well,” Nagelsmann said. “Jamal [Musiala] no longer has any major problems. But like Kai, he first needs to get back into rhythm with his club.”
“They have until March to get fully fit, but they obviously need to stabilise now,” he added.
The Brazilian forward has been out since suffering an ACL injury in January and Jesus returned to training ahead of the Gunners' Premier League draw with Sunderland earlier this month. It has been suggested his return to action could come in January or mid-December and the forward has looked sharp in training. Arteta is cautious over his progress, however.
"It's about making the steps day-by-day in a different surrounding," said Arteta earlier this month on his progress. "He's been doing everything on his own; now he's got very competitive players around him, and let's see how he copes with that. But he's full of energy."

Odegaard has been battling a knee issue that has seen him sit out Arsenal's last seven games. Speaking last week, Norway's manager, Stale Solbakken, revealed that Gunners captain Odegaard is still "some distance away" from returning to the pitch.
When asked for an update on Odegaard's recovery, Solbakken said: "It is steady. It is going in a steady direction but he is some distance away." Odegaard sustained an MCL injury during Arsenal's 2-0 victory over West Ham in October after a knee clash with Crysencio Summerville

The Brazilian winger is among those hoping to be in contention for the weekend. Martinelli is recovering from a thigh injury sustained during Arsenal’s 1-0 win over Crystal Palace in October.
When speaking on his injured stars before the international break, Arteta said: "Some of them, all of them, [could be available after the break], I don't know. There are a lot of things that have to happen in the next two weeks, and everything has to be perfect, but I think we'll be very close."
It remains to be seen how Martinelli's progress has gone. A December return could yet be more likely.
The forward's schedule for a return appears unclear after he was left out of Sweden's squad for the international break. Gyokeres picked up a muscle injury against Burnley and missed Arsenal's draw against Sunderland.
Perhaps he was encapsulated by Arteta's words above too and could yet spring a surprise. Arteta will give an update ahead of Sunday's game.
Madueke is another who could be in contention for this weekend should his recovery have gone perfectly. The England winger has been out with a knee injury since September after impressing in his early outings.
