Arsenal medical staff conduct tests after Noni Madueke suffers knee injury vs Man City

Arsenal's medical team are currently assessing Noni Madueke's knee after the England star experienced discomfort during the first half of the 1-1 draw against Manchester City . The 23-year-old was taken off the field at the interval and replaced by Bukayo Saka , who made his return from a hamstring injury sustained in last month's 5-0 demolition of Leeds.
Madueke was spotted limping just before half-time whistle and was moving gingerly as he pressed the opposition. But he managed to continue playing and was left in visible pain after blocking a late first-half cross from Belgian winger Jeremy Doku.
Arsenal are now conducting tests on Madueke to determine if the summer signing has suffered any damage. Since his transfer from Stamford Bridge to the Emirates, Madueke has been in impressive form, featuring in all six of Arsenal's matches across all competitions so far, despite not yet scoring for the Gunners.
He has started their last five games, making his official debut as a substitute in the 1-0 victory over Manchester United at Old Trafford. Madueke also started both of England's international matches earlier this month, scoring in the 5-0 rout of Serbia in Belgrade.
Following yesterday's match, Mikel Arteta disclosed that Madueke sustained an injury 'very early' in the match against City. The Gunners battle back to secure a point after Erling Haaland had put the visitors ahead at the Emirates.
Gabriel Martinelli continued his recent scoring streak, netting his second goal in as many games from the bench during stoppage time, ensuring Arsenal walked away with a point.

Olympiacos visit next Wednesday for Arsenal's second Champions League group stage match, before the Gunners welcome a struggling West Ham side to the Emirates.

Currently, Arsenal are sitting pretty in second place in the Premier League table, trailing leaders Liverpool after last month's narrow 1-0 defeat at Anfield.
Ben White could make a return to the Arsenal line-up on Wednesday against Port Vale, while skipper Martin Odegaard is eyeing a comeback against Newcastle. Piero Hincapie also sat out the draw with City due to a fitness concern.
Long-term absentees Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus are expected to be fit before the year ends, with the German forward anticipated to return in November.
