As many as eight players could miss Manchester United's clash against Crystal Palace . The Red Devils are hoping to bounce back from a disappointing defeat to Everton when they take on Oliver Glasner's side at Selhurst Park later today.
United missed a golden opportunity to break into the top five after falling to the Toffees on Monday night. Now, following Newcastle's victory over Everton on Saturday evening, the Reds find themselves languishing in 12th place .
Ruben Amorim's side still has a shot at securing fifth place this weekend, provided they can overcome the south Londoners and other results go their way. Luckily for United, they've had an extra few days to gear up for the match.
Strasbourg pulled off a stunning comeback against Crystal Palace in the UEFA Conference League on Thursday night. The French outfit rallied from a goal down to secure a 2-1 victory at the Stade de la Meinau, bagging three vital points in their quest for automatic qualification to the knockout stages.
While United may fancy their chances against the Eagles, they'll have to do it without Matheus Cunha , who picked up a minor injury during training on Saturday. Benjamin Sesko is also expected to sit out the Crystal Palace encounter due to a knee problem.
To add to United's woes, Harry Maguire is set for a stint on the sidelines after suffering a hamstring injury in the clash with Tottenham Hotspur earlier this month. Speaking ahead of this weekend's fixture, Amorim revealed Cunha should be available for Thursday night's clash with West Ham .

Sesko and Maguire require lengthier spells on the sidelines. The United boss said: "No, Sesko is going to take a little bit more time. Harry, the same. I expect to have Matheus in the next one, not this one."
When asked about whether the Slovenian had suffered a setback during his recovery, he said: "No, it's [going to] take a little bit longer. We are taking care of the injury."
Glasner will also be missing a few players. In his Friday press conference, the Crystal Palace manager confirmed Borna Sosa would be unavailable, while Will Hughes remains somewhat of a doubt.

"Borna Sosa will miss this game again, but Will [Hughes] doesn't look so bad, so we're very hopeful that he'll be in the matchday squad," Glasner said. "All others are fine.
"Of course, we came back late, but we already watched Man United in preparation, and that's the rhythm we are in now until the middle of January, and again, we are enjoying it, because that means we are quite successful."
Caleb Kporha , Cheick Doucoure and Rio Cardines are also sidelined for Crystal Palace. However, only Cardines has featured this campaign, with all his appearances coming from the substitutes' bench in October.
