Man United 4-4 Bournemouth: Cherries strike late to ensure points shared in eight-goal thriller
Red Devils miss chance to go fifth in Premier League
Manchester United and Bournemouth settled for a point apiece after an eight-goal thriller ended level at Old Trafford.
The hosts led through Amad Diallo after just 13 minutes and were ahead 2-1 at half-time, but two quickfire Bournemouth goals had them trailing mere minutes into the second period.
United responded, though, thanks to a stunning Bruno Fernandes free-kick and a further strike from Matheus Cunha, before Junior Kroupi added a fourth for the Cherries at the death to make it four each, a scoreline which stood through a frenetic period of extra time which saw Senen Lammens make three crucial saves to ensure the Red Devils did not go home empty-handed.
