Arsenal 's 4-1 demolition of Tottenham re-established their six-point gap at the top of the Premier League - and drew the curtain on gameweek 12 of Daily Mail Sport's predictor game.

Eberechi Eze stole the show in the north London derby with a hat-trick, becoming the first man to do so in this fixture since 1978, and more than doubling his goal tally for the Gunners.

Not many Predictor players will have seen Nottingham Forest's 3-0 win at Liverpool coming, proof, if we even needed it, that this division can spring up huge surprises.

Elsewhere, there were comebacks as Aston Villa snatched a 2-1 win at Leeds , Brighton came away 2-1 victors over Brentford , and Bournemouth rescued a 2-2 draw against West Ham.

In our other games, Harvey Barnes left Manchester City fans speechless with a brace in Newcastle's 2-1 win, while Chelsea went second in the table with a 2-0 victory at Burnley .

Over in our alternative world, Jack Gaughan took the reins in Daily Mail Sport's Predictor experts league with a solid haul of four points.

Gaughan's neat work has him on 41 points just one ahead of James Sharpe, who did not submit his predictions for the week.

At the moment, it looks like a three-way title race between Gaughan, Sharpe, and a youthful Nathan Salt, but there is still plenty of time for our stragglers to catch up.
