Rashford's old pals react to Barca goals as 'Amorim asks what have I done?'
MARCUS RASHFORD has been feeling the love of his former Manchester United team-mates after his brilliant display against Newcastle.

His second goal was a beauty, curling a long-range strike into the top corner, silencing the St James' Park crowd and putting the La Liga side 2-0 up.
For Rashford this performance marks a hopeful turning point after a tough end to his Manchester United tenure, which saw him exiled to the 'bomb squad' by manager Ruben Amorim .
Rashford wasn’t alone in this predicament— Jadon Sancho , Antony , Alejandro Garnacho and Tyrell Malacia were also told they had no future at Old Trafford and needed to seek new clubs.
While Malacia remains at United, Sancho, Garnacho and Antony have since found new homes .
After Rashford’s sensational Champions League display, several former Red Devils took to social media to praise their ex-teammate - while stewards tried to keep fans offteh St. James' Park pitch.
United captain Bruno Fernandes, who played alongside Rashford 215 times, shared a clip of the second goal to his 9.7 million Instagram followers, adding three shocked emojis and tagging Rashford in the post.
Some fans quickly speculated that Fernandes may have gone against Amorim’s wishes, given the Portuguese manager’s decision to exile Rashford.
One fan commented: “This guy is a snake. He clearly doesn’t like Amorim and wants him out."
Another said: “This just shows the injustice Rashford faced from Amorim in the locker room.”
But Fernandes, never one to shy away from showing support for former team-mates, also liked Sancho’s post celebrating his Aston Villa debut last week.
Meanwhile, Sancho, who has essentially taken Rashford’s place at Villa after a loan spell last season, shared a video of Rashford’s stunning header to his 10.4 million followers, tagging the forward and adding fire and salute emojis.
Rashford reposted both messages to his own story, showing his 20.4 million followers the love.
Despite still being on United’s books , Sancho hasn’t played for the club since August 2024, following a public fallout with Erik ten Hag and a strained relationship with Amorim.
He was banished to the bomb squad in the summer after Chelsea backed out of making his £25million loan move permanent.

Current Barcelona team-mate Lamine Yamal also chimed in, sharing a post from the celebrations with a fire emoji.
As for Rashford, he shared his own post, writing: “Great way to kick off the Champions League."
Former United star Nicky Butt , part of the legendary Treble-winning squad of 1999, commented on BBC: “If I were Ruben Amorim, I'd be thinking, ‘What have I done?.’”
He added with a chuckle: “United are obviously struggling. Players need to move on if it’s not working out.
"Marcus needed to feel loved and when he does, he shows just what he can do.”
Footballers flooded the comments of Rashford’s post, with his England and ex-Villa team-mate Morgan Rogers adding “Wowwww” along with three fire emojis.
Back in August, Sancho had shared a post with Malacia and Antony —alongside injured defender Lisandro Martinez — captioning the photo “My brothers".
