Real Madrid ‘enter’ Ruben Neves race amid Manchester United and Newcastle interest
According to reports in Spain, Real Madrid have entered the race to sign Ruben Neves. The Al-Hilal midfielder is out of contract in the summer and has turned down a new deal. A return to Europe could appeal.
The former Wolves captain left Molineux more than two years ago in a £47m move, having been open that finances drove the switch.
Recent links have focused on the Premier League, not a Wolves reunion, with Newcastle United and Manchester United named as suitors.
Given his contract situation, United may be able to land him for about £20m.
Madrid are looking to bolster their midfield and view Neves as a potential bargain relative to his previous fee. Al-Hilal could look to cash in and recoup part of their outlay.
